 Movies With Post Rock Soundtracks.
So I'm interested in what movies that you know of that have excellent postrock/idm/indie/classical soundtracks/scores.
Movies that jump immediately to my mind are:
28 Days Later (John Murphy/Godspeed You Black Emperor)
Zidane (Mogwai)
Friday Night Lights (Explosions in the Sky)
Angels of The Universe (Sigur Ros)
Sunshine (John Murphy/Underworld)
Requiem for a Dream (Clint Mansell/Cronos Quartet)
The Fountain (Clint Mansell/Cronos /Quartet/Mogwai)
Word.

My vote is on The Proposition, although its not pure post-rock per se. Elements of it, maybe. Still my favorite soundtrack yet.

Most of those aren't really post-rocky regardless of how good they are.

i dont know if it counts or not, but pretty much every song used in it is from the dirty three.
so maybe it counts?

I quite like the Wicker Park soundtrack. There's some indie (stuff like Death Cab for Cutie, The Shins, The Postal Service) and some post-rock (Mogwai, múm).
So indie/post-rock/experimental/idm

Kronos, not Cronos. They deserve proper spelling
On topic, I heard a familiar track in a trailer for The Brave One. Don't know if it's in the movie though.

The final monologue in Mysterious Skin is over a Sigur Ros song. Also, there's a few post rock sounding sonds throughout.

Though, not quite a post-rock band, the score to "Stay" by Asche and Spencer is very post-rcok sounding.

Exactly, that track is the best sigur ros track too. I listened to it at the end and thought wow, and didn't even think it was sigur ros even though I had bought the album
The actual ost done by budd/guthrie is really good too, I find budd/guthrie boring on their albums, but that album is superb. A silh.. apprroaches is the best track I think.
