 Mice Parade
Some very nice experimental electronic-y stuff. Very nice drumming and good sense of layering instruments and sounds. There's some post-rock influence there but I wouldn't call them straight post-rock at all. Also the girl from Mum makes a few vocal appearances on one or two albums.
Any fans?
Highly recommended:
Obrigado Saudade - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GQTO6RFM
I might up another album later.

Yes!!! Obrigado Saudade was one of my favorite releases of last year! Night wave is such a superb song. His other realeses are hit and miss though, didn't like the boodlebaye one much. But he's very underrated i think.

Really? Hmm... this and Bem Vinda Vontade are the only ones I have and they are both excellent, but I haven't heard much else he's done.

Ahh. I liked it. It had a few so-so tracks but a few very good ones also.

That's sort of how I discovered them. A song on a mix I fell in love with. It was "Night Wave" though.
I'll up the other album I have later tonight. This computer's connection is UTTER BOLLOCKS.

Mice Parade is so awesome. I found out about him when I was really into Fat Cat records.

Bem-Vinda Vontade is splendid. I haven't really been able to get into any of their other stuff, though. But I just now noticed I still have Obrigado Saudade (what's with this band and nonsensical album titles?) on my mp3 player, so I'll probably give it another spin today.

The song My Workday In May off True Meaning of Boodleybaye is splendid. The xylofons, the "bye-bye" part, the drum explosions and the last synthesized melody part... Beautiful.

I just listened to that song and it was good.
May give the album a proper listen later on.

i've been a fan of his for a long time.
mice parade is an anagram of his name, adam pierce.
his last 2 albums, obrigado and bem vinda, are more refined and accessible, but his earlier stuff is great too. i love the jim o'rourke remix on the collaborations album. and the last half of The Days Before Fiction is absolutely amazing!
i believe he started the bubblecore label, and he's played in a few others bands like swirlies (great shoegaze band) and igloo.
